WE MAKE BUILDING TECHNOLOGY SECURE
Fingerprint Recognition
"Welcome Mrs Smith, we recognised your fingerprint!" What today still sounds like science fiction, for many, our chips have been able to do for a long time. But not only that, for example, you could compare the data of a fingerprint with picture or sound data, thus reliably preventing unauthorised access.

Building systems management and security technology are two highly sensitive areas; even a single tiny error can cause considerable distrust of the operator. All the more important that the technologies used work inconspicuously and reliably.

So whoever is responsible for the co-operation of monitoring cameras, so-called "people counters", and Internet functions, for operating access points or simply for the smooth running of building systems management, puts their trust in Hyperstone. The combination of RISC and DSP on one chip, above all, gives us a clear edge in the market, and ultimately also enables purposeful compression, transmission and storage of the acquired data.
Why security is also a matter of the processor
In fingerprint recognition systems, processor, sensor and flash memory are the most important elements. The sensor records the fingerprint and delivers a corresponding bit pattern to hyNet®. There, the so-called minutiae (specific characteristics) of the fingerprint are analysed and an associated data pattern stored in the flash memory. In normal operation, the system compares in a very short time the fingerprints last captured with the patterns in the database. The serial interface thereupon supplies a signal that, for example, opens a door or keeps it closed.
